Team Tomato + USA Today = True Love

Mon Jul 16, 2007 at 07:43:44 PM

Whitney Matheson over at the USA Today blog Pop Candy recently gave our hometown homeslices and blog-commenting champions Team Tomato a shout-out in her column, in this post. In the same paragraph as Thurston flippin' Moore of Sonic Youth. Way to go, guys. Ear-rainbows all around.

thurston moore looks like the offspring of brian weigert and beatle bob!

please do not turn the comments of this post in a good vs. evil beatle bob battle. nothing irritates your friendly neighborhood webmistress more. :)

brian says:

holy shit! maybe we should learn 'schizophrenia' for our in-store at the vintage vantage.

James says:

Ohhh, Francis Nancy, you have zinged me once again!

So cool you didn't even need punctuation at the end of yer postin'!

And whut exactuhly is the diff. between a "Local St. Louis Band" and a "St. Louis Band?"

And boy I sure hope you were at CBGB last night, as Quief Quota were totally danceable (much better than the first time I saw 'em, though I think that says more about my mental state at the time), the mighty 5-piece B'grunt were majestic, and the young kids from Ames, the plucky up'n'comers, Poison Control Center once again ate everyone's legs.

From scrota pressed against windows to scrota waggled in front of the band to yer humbled poster's face nearly being chopped off by the ceiling fan as he was carried 'round the room, it was as good as a Monday night can get.

Tonight wheres? I'm considering der BloOoOoOobiIiIird since I've never seen Roman Numerals and a couple friends dig 'em. Anything else cookin'?

James

eric says:

hmmm? "ear MY rainbow." that sounds naughty.

do those judge shows have live bands?
