That's awesome, but even moreso than Explosions in the Sky, I wonder if that's the most appropriate venue for them? I saw them at the Way Out Club about 7 years ago playing to 21 people and then opening for Crooked Fingers at the Duck Room. I know they played at a free event at Forest Park a few years ago...
...and now The Pageant? And don't say "Little Miss Sunshine"

Posted On: Thursday, Feb. 28 2008 @ 10:04AMJust went to the concert last night -- I'm a first time-goer for a Devotchka concert. I thought they were incredible and phenomenal despite the venue. I can see how the size takes away from the intimacy of the concert, but despite that... I still felt very connected. I would have loved to have the chance to see them at the Duck Room or Way out Club.. but they were awesome at the Pageant. And I think they truly appreciated it. They seemed to be on Cloud 9 and were channeling that through their music last night.
