I can not believe this chick won! I am very disappointed. Her sounds ummmm sucked and her experience was nothing compaired to the other DJ's she competed with. By the end of the night DJ Rob Gray was clearly the winner of this event, not her! Glad to know a set of tits wins over experience and extreme talent.

I won't say says:

I have heard that the judges are not in the electronic scene at all, so that makes it a popularity contest. I've seem Karizma and Flex Boogie. Two different shows...and I think the latter would be a better pick myself. Anyway, I do also know that no one at RFT was nice enough to contact entrants who didn't make the cut. Kinda left everyone in limbo. This contest was a set up.

1. perhaps you know amin, who was one of the judges? or maybe you know his company/promotions co. brown and white and disco? he was one of the judges. he's the one who helps bring people such as ferry corsten, paul van dyk and sasha and digweed to town. i'd say he knows very little about electronic music in light of that, for sure.

2. each person who was not named a finalist was contacted, i did so personally. if you applied and didn't hear from me, check your spam filter.

3. sour grapes are quite ugly.

Joe Payne says:

you skate boarders need to put away your panic at the disco cds and get over it. while im no fan of the RFT, what vested interest do they have on fixing this shit. bitch to your co-workers at slackers (maybe one day you can work at vintage if you really apply yourselves) and get over it! if you hadn't dropped out of high school maybe you would be able to read the email that the RFT sent rejecting your truly god awful submittal.

You people make me want to drive over to vintage and beg Harnish to sign my copy of the latest shitty riddle of steel album (that is available in the used bin for $0.99).

Derrick Holder says:

What are all of you bitchin about... Karizma deserves this as much as anyone else in it. I will agree the contest is complete bullshit. It is a popularity contest 100%. THe judges are a joke. You mention Amin who promotes shows here in town-who is good friends with Karizma- not saying anything but that is probably not a fair shake for the other contestants.

She deserves it, I doubt tits had anything to do with it. Rob Grey is gay enough to get on here and plead his case as an anonymous person. Pathetic. Take it like a man.

Rachel says:

Wow, Derrick, you my friend are a big man. I know Rob personally and know that he is not the type of person or 'man' that you claim.
With that being said it will be interesting to see how the RFT promotes DJ Karizma for this event seeing that there is another DJ Karizma, (who has been around since the 'winner' DJ Karizma has been in diapers), that is much more well known, has a huge discography and is very established as a dj and producer in this industry.
Every year the RFT has the spin off, people are disappointed by the winner. That is going to be the only thing guaranteed every year they do it.
And in case you haven't noticed, tits can get you real far.

rob gray says:

haha you guys is funny!!! Dj Karizma is a really good DJ. She deserves it as much as anyone else. Derrick, you might wanna be a lil more informed before you go around talking smack you know nothing about! What kinda dork are you? Like I would put that post up there! Congrats to everyone who spun that night!
