Ladytron New MP3, "Black Cat," from the Album Velocifero

The first single from Ladytron's upcoming album, Velocifero, has emerged. Called "Black Cat," it's quite a dark, seductive departure from previous singles. Excellent. The band's at the Pageant on June 16 with Datarock. Velocifero is out June 3. Thanks to Nettwerk for letting us post the MP3.

Christ, what a disappointment. I was looking for another "Destroy Everything You Touch" and instead this track sounds like a B-side off their first album. Total backslide.

Here's hoping the rest of the album has a few hooks.

Don't panic, this is possibly the worst track they could have picked for promotional purposes.

This album is slightly inferior to Witching Hour but it's full of good songs. With a little more time spent on it I feel it could have been amazing. It just lacks a little bit of production polish.
