As per tradition, the Lollapalooza lineup leaked the night before it is officially scheduled to be announced (that's at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 7 -- or about seven hours from now). Jim DeRogatis of the Chicago Sun-Times had the honor of the big reveal.
Added to previously announced headliners Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Wilco, Kanye West and the Raconteurs are a ton more big names, including Love & Rockets (!), Explosions in the Sky, the National, Cat Power, Mark Ronson, Okkervil River, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Lupe Fiasco, Brand New, Gogol Bordello and Flogging Molly. (The full lineup's after the jump.)
Why this matters for St. Louis -- besides the fact that the festival is the closest big event within driving distance of the city -- is that many acts swing through town on their way to and from the fest. So in the coming months, perhaps we'll see some excellent bands stop by the Lou again (or for the very first time in awhile). Who would you like to see play St. Louis?
