weak. and i was hoping cyndi lauper would be back this year. total lamesters.

OAR will be great. I went to college with those guys and used to hang with the singer. They put on a hell of a show. Black Crowes and Rusted Root are the only other 2 I'd go see. Way to screw up the Fireworks night St. Louis!

casey says:

can't wait for the black crowes! never disappoint.

brian says:

Yes, but do they disappoint?

Keegan says:

Bite your tongue Jaime, Boyz II Men are going to rock this bitch like it's 1993.

dontneedanything says:

dont sleep on war or grace potter. ima try to make it for both (but sneak out before the black crowes). grace potter and the nocturnals put on a great rock show and war will funk your asses into submission!

Am I in the STL? This lineup is unbelievable really...something that I would expect out of a Chicago or Seattle. Right on.

^Seriously? It's all middle of the road frat rock and county fair stuff. I would even classify the very few bands (The Black Crowes, Marquise Knox, and uh... , yeah just those two) I would see in those categories, too.

mary says:

i think all you yahoos complaining about the line-up should remember that the music is FREE. Why don't you go pay $100 to see The Black Crowes at Busch Stadium?

jeff says:

I would and have paid to see The Black Crowes, but they are still not exactly cutting edge.

This is the exact same lineup you would see in Des Moines or Birmingham or Oklahoma City.

mary says:

whatever jeff....

Jeremy says:

what do you mean "the Black rowes aren't exactly cutting edge?"

What is?

Do you think Carrie Underwood or Steven Crutis Chapman are? Hannah Montana and the rest of the Disney/American Idol prefabricated pussy pop bullshit is for little girls, hip-hop died in 1996, and there hasn't been a good metal album since Pantera broke up...

wake up, dude - the Black Crowes have:

a.) put out the best album this year (Warpaint - do yourself a favor and pick it up.)

AND

b.) have had a long and wonderfully complete career, put out album after album, each one completely different in sound and timbre, but always - ALWAYS writing great songs with superb musicianship and dynamic performances.

Just because the only songs you know are "Remedy", "Hard To Handle", and "She Talks To Angels" only means that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

One of the greatest American bands ever - EVER.

Their live shows are amazing - long, jams, new songs (covers and originals) as well as a constantly rotating setlist that keeps things fresh and interesting.

Most bands these days could only WISH they could bring it like the Crowes do night after night after night after night.

They are as cutting edge as anything else in the homogenized cookie cutter world we have now.

FACT.
