St. Louis Weekend Fun: Who Went Where?
I stayed low-key to try to stave off sickness (verdict: not really successful). So who went where? What fun was had? Regale me with stories, so I can live vicariously.

Sunday night free concert in Perry Park (near Delmar & Kingshighway), Hamiett Bluett conducting & directing the Youth Improvisation Orchestra, 25 or so high school kids playing Bluett's compositions while he pushes them along, even walking into the orchestra from time to time to encourage specific musicians to do specific things. It was quite astounding.
Posted On: Monday, Jun. 23 2008 @ 12:37PMThe Tight Pants show at the Tap Room was a lot of fun. That's My Daughter covered "Gloria" (the Laura Branigan song, not the Them song); Bunnygrunt took an early Blondie song and knocked it out of the park (although I don't know if a 3rd guitarist is really necessary); and Tight Pants Syndrome, well, I don't think they did any covers, but they sounded alright with their own stuff.
