This morning I was listening to K-HITS and they were playing about 4 or 5 songs in a row from this "singer". It was my playing on my clock radio alarm. Talk about a horrible way to wake up.

That "singer" as he calls Stevie Nicks, is one of the few female singer-songwriters who is in her fourth decade of recording music. She's the pioneer who opened the door (of the testosterone-driven music industry) for scores of female singer-songwriters: Sarah MacLachlin; Tori Amos; Gwen Stefani. You wanna talk about a horrible way to wake up? Without the voice of Annie Lennox in Eurythmics. The film "The Lord of the Rings" would be missing something without her song "Into the West," at the conclusion. Which, by the way, earned her an Academy Award for Best Song. You may not like "that singer," but unlike the band Kansas, she isn't "Dust in the Wind."
