More like "hippie mecca". Isn't there supposed to be a differance?
Posted On: Wednesday, Jul. 23 2008 @ 1:25PMI think the whole "hipster ground zero" idea is really blown out of proportion. Mostly the crowd was just full of people really excited about live music, no different than what you would expect to find at any large outdoor festival and/or indie rock concert.
That said, I was puzzled by the ubiquity of the Girl Talk shades (black and neon plastic). Turns out there was a stand in the DIY tent selling 'em on the cheap. Mystery solved!
