My favorite Supergrass song is "It's Not Me" off In It For The Money. Why would I pick a slow burner like this when the band is known so much more for its high energy rockers? Easy, this song was INCREDIBLE live in St. Louis back in the summer of 1997.

The tour lineup was the same: Supergrass opening for Foo Fighters. The venue was quite different though: the old American Theater, aka Roberts Orpheum Theater. The stately hall had fantastic acoustics and produced a bass sound on this song I will remember forever. It could be felt through the spine. I only wish the album version could portray this, it was truly a had to have been there kind of moment.

I have seen 100's of concerts since, but this was only my second live show and I will always remember Gaz & the boys playing that song and blowing me away. I can only hope they perform similar magic at this concert for another young fan.

My favorite Supergrass song has to be "Caught by the Fuzz". It's a great example of that exuberant raucousness they do so well.
