The Lot, the late-summer free concert on the parking lot at the Schlafly Tap Room, has come and gone for another year. Held on Saturday, this year's line-up featured So Many Dynamos, Earthworms, Clownvis Presley and the final Victoria performance, among other highlights.

AJS did a great job running the LOT this year and deserves a ton of credit for such a successful event.
Posted On: Monday, Aug. 25 2008 @ 9:11AMThis was probably the 4th or 5th Lot Fest I've been to and I must say that the bands were particularly good this year. The lighting, stage and the sound were exceptional as well. Alvin Jett and Phat Noiz is the most unfortunate name a great blues band ever had. I would never in a million years go to see a band called Phat Noiz but now that I have seen them I'd certainly seek them out again and again. They were the one of the big highlights of the fest, which is saying alot given the level of talent this year. Even the belly dancers were awesome.
Posted On: Monday, Aug. 25 2008 @ 6:37PMWithout question, one of the coolest music experiences you can have in this town is seeing Alvin Jett and Phat noiZ on the 10:30 pm - 3:00 am set at BBs. They really cut loose when they have a few hours to work with and it sounds incredible in that room. Next time is Friday 9/19.
I was also really happy with those belly dancers, I had no idea they were going to get the crowd fired up and down in front of the stage like that...
