I actually hung around for half an hour or so, but even if he'd shown, it would've been for the half-dozen clerks and me, which would've been depressing. Glad I advocated so hard for Koster to get a show here, only to have him not even play. (Sorry, still a little annoyed.)

I don't think the point was to have a large turn out at a place like Vintage Vinyl. The whole experience should be more intimate and relaxed. We only had two people and it was the opposite of depressing.

Posted On: Tuesday, Nov. 18 2008 @ 2:20PMOK, I've now cleared things up. Apparently Julian and co. did show up at VV sometime between 9:30 and 10 pm. From what I can gather, they knew they'd be late but those signals got crossed somewhere between the band and the record store. Public apology to the Music Tapes for impugning them in the comment above. Wish I'd hung around just a bit longer, I guess.
Posted On: Tuesday, Nov. 18 2008 @ 3:18PMHe was originally scheduled to show up at my house at some point on Monday. I had a nice group of people lined up to come over. On Monday afternoon, I was contacted by the guy coordinting the tour and he said they were running very late, and would not be able to make it until at least 9.
I contacted the people that were coming over and they all indicated that that was too late, so I told the Music Tapes guys to go ahead and go straight to VV, since I didn't want them to drive all the way to my house for me and my cat.
And then I got tired adn lazy and cold and didn't make it up to VV.
