Friday, 3/2

Live Loops: Jason Hahn and Michael Travis, the percussionist and drummer for jam-band favorite the String Cheese Incident, also dabble in loop-based electronic music, improvising and modulating on the spot. Their act, EOTO (an acronym for Each One Teach One), performs at the Lucas School House (1220 Allen Avenue). Tickets are $12 at the door, and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Saturday, 3/3

Dante's Turns One: Midtown dance club Dante's (3221 Olive Street) celebrates its first anniversary with a set by George Acosta, a Miami native known for spinning fast, melodic trance. Doors open at 9 p.m., and the cover is $10.

Way out West: "West County Wining" sounds like the title of a silly country song, but at the Lukas Liquor Superstore (15921 Manchester Road, Ellisville), this can be your reality. The enormous emporium offers free wine tastings from 1 to 4 p.m. (And if you, like Hank, are a beer drinker, don't cry: Samples of the suds will also be on the table.)

Freaks and Geeks: It's time for Webster University's NADADADA Carnival and Freak Show happening from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Mad Art Gallery (2727 South 12th Street). Appropriately dressed freaks get in free; regular folks (and geeks, presumably) pay $5; experiencing the "Tickle Torture Machine" is gratis (bring your own extra pants).

Sunday, 3/4

Mission: Organization: Stop watching Clean House, and clean your abode. But before you do, drop by the Container Store at Brentwood Square (1769 South Brentwood Boulevard, Brentwood). During this, the store's opening weekend, prizes are given away each hour, and 10 percent of sales benefit the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Eat Right: Hear that? It's the sound of the fresh-baked berry scones at La Dolce Via (4474 Arco Avenue) calling your name. Answer them this morning: It's your breakfast destiny.
