Friday, 11/16

Keep It Classy: After last night's Wine and Cheese reception, things are getting a little more rowdy at The Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Art Gallery at tonight's Beer and Chips party. From 7 to 10 p.m. snack on some free food and drinks and take in the "Show Me" exhibition, which features the work of 25 artists. It's free, so help yourself.

Party Hats Required: Wear your best Louis Vuitton knock-off to Mandarin's (44 Maryland Plaza; 314-367-4447) first anniversary party from 8 to 11 p.m. Be sure to spend the most time in its extravagant restroom, though don't miss the "debut" of the Ladies and Gents of Lumière Place and the music of DJ Deception.

It's Poppin': Tickets are still available for Fridays Uncorked at The Gallery at Chesterfield Arts (44 Chesterfield Center; 636-519-1955). Pay $25 to see a French cabaret with Elsie Parker and The Poor People of Paris and ingest complimentary drinks and deserts. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the show starts a half-hour later.

Saturday, 11/17

Deck the Streets: Set your alarm way early, and join the Central West End Association for cheery holiday decorating. You'll be dressing up spruce trees with all the latest seasonal glitz in planters along Euclid. The group meets at 8 a.m. with coffee, hot chocolate and doughnuts in tow. Send an email to volunteer@fuelforthecity.org if you're interested.

BYOS: Bring Your Own Shovel: It's true, you must bring a digging tool to Aged Beer, New Trees at Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Avenue; 314-241-2337). Arrive at noon because there will be a limited about of trees to plant (only 50). That means only the first 110 people can help plant with a recommended donation of $20.

Prohibited Fun: So, consuming alcohol is no longer illegal (obviously!) but that doesn't mean folks at the Saint Louis Zoo can't pretend. Sneak to Zootini at The Living World in the Saint Louis Zoo where the speakeasy spirit is staying alive....or dare we say, is roaring! Yes, the drolly titled "Roaring '20s" party kicks off at 8 p.m. Join the festivities for $40, or go VIP for $70. For tickets call 314-768-5440, or go here.

Sunday, 11/18

Toast of the Town: From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. appreciate the goblet in its modern form at The Goblet Redefined, an exhibit at Craft Alliance (6640 Delmar Boulevard; 314-725-1177). This free show ends December 24.

It's the Bomb: The Rep's The Bomb-itty of Errors makes Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors understandable for those who can understand rap. If you're one of the lucky few, stop by Grandel Theatre (3610 Grandel Square; 314-534-1834) at 2 or 7 p.m. Tickets range from $15 to $51 and the show runs through December 9.
