So Long for Now, Sarah

State treasurer Sarah Steelman lost the Republican primary race for governor last night to U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof, whose farm truck we saw an awful lot of during his campaign. But that's another story.

By Jennifer Silverberg
Steelman's run for the GOP spot on November's ballot was profiled in our March 26 story, Hot Contender: If looks count, Sarah Steelman may be your next governor, by Kathleen McLaughlin.

Though Steelman won both Kansas City and St. Louis, she lost by four percent, getting 45 percent of the vote, compared to 49 percent garnered by Hulshof. Only 20 percent of registered voters went to the polls.

Hulshof faces Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon in the November general election.

Come back tomorrow when we look at the Facebook pages of both Hulshof and Nixon.
