Quin Snyder
As you may recall, Snyder was unceremoniously dismissed as Mizzou's basketball coach in 2006 following recruitment violations that led to NCAA sanctions and several season of sub-par performance.

Yesterday, USA Today ranked Mizzou as the No. 10 team in the nation -- its first Top Ten ranking since coach Mike Anderson took over from Snyder. And in related news ... Snyder last week coached the All-Star team for the NBA Developmental League.

Since 2007 Snyder has coached the Austin Toros, the minor-league franchise of the San Antonio Spurs. Snyder won the honor of coaching last weekend's All-Star game in Phoenix for leading the Toros to the second-best record (16-7) in the league through January 27. During his first season in Austin, Snyder guided the team to a 30-20 regular season record and led the Toros to their first-ever trip to the NBA D-League Finals.
