Post-Dispatch reports that the gunman who killed the
Rev. Fred Winters during a church service yesterday in Maryville suffers from a mental illness brought on by Lyme disease. The suspect,
Terry Joe Sedlacek, was the subject of an August 2008 article in the
Post-Dispatch that documented how a tick bite led to his unstable mental condition.
Folks near Alton are recovering after
tornadoes ripped through Illinois during yesterday's storm. The Cardinals didn't have wind gusts to blame yesterday, still the team managed to compile a whopping six errors in its 8-9 loss to the Marlins in an exhibition game in Jupiter, Florida.
