A man in southwestern Illinois is blaming the sleeping pill Ambien for a recent brush with the law. The man says he took the drug and the next thing he remembered was waking up in a jail cell where police charged him with attempting to break into a home and resisting arrest. The man aptly calls his situation a "nightmare."

Crime victims in St. Charles County believe they've found on eBay the man responsible for stealing their boat propellers. I guess there really is a black market for anything.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is hoping to cash in on the federal stimulus program. A government grant would allow the department to hire additional officers for three years provided the city can fund the new officers for at least one year after the grant expires.

Never mind what you've heard about the free-falling economy. St. Louis Motorsports in the Chesterfield Valley recently added Rolls-Royce to its fleet of exclusive cars for sale. The dealership also carries makes such as Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari and Lotus and reports that it's meeting its goal of selling 30 vehicles a month despite the recession.
