Friday, April 3: Morning's Newz
![]() |
Two local yokels entered the running yesterday for next week's Ass Clown of the Week:
- St. Peter's police made public charges against Cynthia Tiemann. The 49-year-old mother is accused of taking out fraudulent student loans in her daughters' names that she used to fund her gambling addiction. All told, Tiemann allegedly received $140,000 in bogus student loans.
- Meanwhile, a 37-year-old father is charged with assault in a retaliation attack defending his daughter's honor on shoplifting charges. A sales clerk at Claire's in South County Mall busted the man's 17-year-old daughter stealing a necklace on Friday. The next day the father and an unidentied woman visted Claire's where they held down, punched and kicked the sales clerk.
It's April 3, a.k.a. National Walk to Work Day. So, see you in the office -- in about three hours.
