Remembering Chris 'Dry-Humping' Duncan

To send Dunc' off to the East coast, here's him, giving a special farewell hump to a steamer trunk
I'm surely not the one to evaluate a trade like this one -- can you say banished for eternity? -- but I will say this about the incessant anti-Chris Duncan barrage on forums across Redbird land:

I don't know the guy at all -- he was never featured much in the media spotlight, not even here in St. Louis. But I was surprised the one or two times I've heard Chris Duncan do a stand-up interview of a decent length. He came across thoughtful and articulate, not at all the Dukes of Hazzard hoosier bumpkin I'd anticipated.

Yes, we've had our fun with Dunc in our pages and on this website. But as Bernie Miklasz and others have ably pointed out, Duncan entered the big leagues on a tear back in '06, and if he hadn't kicked such fearsome ass slugging-wise, there wouldn't have been a World Series trophy for the big lug to dry-hump.

I wish him well.
