Leading tonight's meeting (6 p.m. at the Shining Light Pentecostal Church) will be Christina Walsh, a director with the Washington D.C.-based civil-rights law firm Institute for Justice.

Topics for discussion include McKee's possible use of eminent domain as well as the developer's plans to finance the project through TIF money.

Institute for Justice represented Susette Kelo in the Supreme Court case Kelo v. City of New London that authorized the government to acquire private property for a non-public entity.

The law firm currently represents Jim Roos, whose eminent domain mural near Lafayette Square is under attack from St. Louis officials who want the sign removed.
