Which Christmas Concert Will Suck Worse? Charlie Daniels Band or John Tesh?
| Ghastly creatures visit St. Charles this holiday season. |
This latest concert announcement reminded me of one I received last week (also from the Family Arena) heralding the December 5 arrival of the Christmas with John Tesh.
Now, all of a sudden, I can't stop thinking of arctic snow monsters because I'm wondering to myself, which concert will be more abominable?
Will it be the Charlie Daniels' show described thusly:
When you hear a classic Charlie Daniels Band performance like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," you hear music that knows no clear genre. Is it a folk tale? A southern boogie? A country fiddle tune? An electric rock anthem? The answer is, "yes" to all of that and more...This time out Charlie Daniels Band will be performing not only his biggest hit but also Christmas songs.
Or the John Tesh show described this way:
Personally I think Tesh is going to suck more. Why? Because no matter how horrific Charlie Daniels' southern-fried version of "Silent Night" is to the eardrums, at least the dude looks sort of like Santa Claus. That's got to count for something.Taking the stage at the holidays for the first time in more than 15 years, John and his band of 4 merry makers have created a performance you'll talk about for years to come. Wrapped up under the Tesh tree you'll find traditional carols "ramped up" to get your toes tapping in your seat, and some of your favorite carols arranged with a nostalgic Big Band feel. John's remarkable version of "We Three Kings" will stay in your head throughout the 12 days of Christmas!
But enough about my thoughts. What say you? Tesh or Daniels?
