The victims say they were leaving the club when a group of four men departing an adjoining bar picked a fight.

"They came up out of the car and they start calling us "faggots," Jacob Piwowarczyk tells KSDK Channel 5. "We kept telling them please leave us alone, we're fine. From there, the one kid didn't like what we told them and decided to punch me in the eye and I fell to the ground. And at that time my friend was laying on the ground and they started kicking him in the face."

Piwowarczyk suffered a mild concussion, bruises and received six stitches above his eye from the attack. One of his friends suffered a broken nose; the other a fractured cheek bone.

Police say they're investigating the incident and are looking for a black SUV with Illinois plates
