Unreal Forgets Alzheimer's Awareness Month!
St. Louis, MO - Sunrise Senior Living has announced that all three St. Louis communities, in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, St. Louis Chapter, will host exclusive, free viewings of HBO's four-part documentary series "The Alzheimer's Project." Each video screening will be followed by professionally led discussions concerning Alzheimer's disease.
Receiving two Emmy awards, the series is changing the way America thinks about Alzheimer's disease. The two-part Momentum in Science segment takes viewers on the path of discovery through the research aspects of diagnosing, detecting, and ultimately preventing the disease. Caregivers offers a glimpse into the life of caring for a loved one experiencing dementia. Grandpa, Do You Know Who I Am? delivers valuable lessons for children coping with grandparents suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
