Newman knows what he's talking about; his design career includes stints at Fortune magazine, Real Simple. Entertainment Weekly, New York, Details, Vibe, Inside, Guitar World and RFT parent company flagship the Village Voice. If that ain't enough, Newman co-founded the seminal music zine The Rocket way back when.
Much-deserved kudos, too, to longtime RFT photographer Jennifer Silverberg, whose images are integral to a majority of the paper's covers. Carlson, Silverberg and other RFT artist contributors have snagged many an award, including several from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies
