Cold Blood In Kansas City: Snow Plow Driver Shot on the Job

There's a reason Kansas City is nicknamed Killa City: our counterparts on Missouri's west side have almost as many shootings as we do-- and that's saying something.

But just when the violence starts to seem routine, someone goes and busts a cap in a snow plow driver. Talk about in cold blood.

The non-fatal shooting happened in the wee hours this morning. The shooter is still on the loose and the driver is in the hospital in stable condition. No word on the condition of the streets in that neighborhood.

Our sister paper in KC, the Pitch, has the complete rundown on the incident:
Kansas City police say the on-duty snow plow driver was taking a break, parked underneath the Interstate 470 overpass on James A. Reed Road, when a vehicle pulled next to the plow, a suspect exited the vehicle and began shooting into the snow plow's cab.

The male driver jumped out of the passenger side of the cab and called for help. KC police officers arrived at the scene around 2:35 a.m., and the shooting victim was taken to a local hospital.
