Sniff, sniff! Do we smell a stalker?
And what better time to promote awareness of a perv-y pastime than January, when everybody is busy stalking the plumber, the snow-plow dude and the furnace guy.

Per a press release from the Missouri Department of Public Safety:

Stalking is a crime under the law of all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the Federal Government. One in 12 women and one in 45 men will be stalked in their lifetime. Stalking is an extremely lethal crime. Seventy-six percent of women who were murdered by their intimate partner had been previously stalked by the killer. Unlike other crimes, stalking is not a single, easily identifiable crime but a series of acts, a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause that person fear.

In Missouri, stalking is defined as purposely, repeatedly and intentionally harassing or following someone.

Hmm, around here we call that "sending press releases."
