Playbill.com reports today that Isaac Mizrahi, a man of the people among fashion designers, will stage and do costume design the first time for theater...right here in St. Louis.

Opera Theatre of St. Louis will put on A Little Night Music in June. Mizrahi will create sets and costumes.

Most people with any inkling of patriotism laid eyes on one of Mizrahi's designs just last week.

First lady Michelle Obama was wearing a merlot-toned number designed by Mizrahi during the State of the Union address on January 27.

Mizrahi dresses the masses, too, formerly for Target and now under the Liz Claiborne label.

A Little Night Music won a Tony Award on Broadway in 1973.

It's back on Broadway now with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury
