Mo. Legislator Wants 24-Hour Wait for Abortions; Mothers Informed of Pain to Fetus

• Fear...? "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 1:7) God stated that King Solomon will be the wisest man on earth. 1st Kings 3:12 "I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be." Challenge yourself to read 1st Kings 3:16-28. King Solomon also had to deal with a mother willing to do away with her own kind. By God's creation and through His law governed by His righteousness, sovereignty, and love for mankind, has allowed us to reach out to their own out of love and compassion. It has nothing to do with men vs women. There's truth in having a healthy perspective for fearing something? Is it right and honorable to take another life before God without warrant? There is one and only one true God which is the author and creator of all things including your life. In as much as we disagree, I should not value your life any less than that which God's places value on your life as well as mine....or the unborn for that matter. Do you not fear anything? Then stand in the midst of an angry bull and reason with it, as you do with yourself, for your rights to live. You might as well be silent just as you have silenced the unborn.

• With all due respect Aerie... the big girl decision is to either have protected sex or no sex at all. A person can find all the reasons they want to make the choice to snuff the life of a child easier on their guilt... Its a selfish desire to not feel the emotions of giving a child up for adoption to a family who cannot have children. Adoption is an emotional decision that I would not wish on anyone to have to make. A person can find every reason in the world to take the coward way out without looking like a coward... adoption is couragious and heroic. I don't agree with dishonest scare tactics or the bombing of abortion clinics by any means. But I do agree with making sure a person is making an educated decision. You may be educated but maybe another person is not. I realize you don't know me but honestly... most people who are anti-abortion don't believe in dishonesty and clinic bombing either. Theirs a lot of dishonesty going around on both sides. Those people are just a handfull and are equally as guilty and do not represent the whole... but unfortunately they have a louder voice. All I'm saying here is that if there is a waiting period for someone to have to buy a gun... why not a one day waiting period for killing a baby??

• Because Renee, First of all, I'm not a child. I'm capable of making BIG-girl decisions regarding my body. I find it a bit misogynistic that my decision making skills are even questioned. If I've come as far as the clinic, then I've made my mind up. I've done all the thinking and 're-thinking' that I'm going to do. Second, you know and I know, that this one-day wait is a mental tactic used so that the bloody baby propaganda you show me will play fully to my guilt & fear. When fear tactics are used, an informed decision can't be made. The "information" given by anti-choice 'counselors' is historically inaccurate & serves only to evoke guilt. I don't hold the same rose-colored, unrealistic view of adoption as you. Truthfully, in the long run, it hurts many more people than it helps and can cause a lifetime of emotional scars.

• OK... those of you who are pro-abortion HAVE your legal choice. What in the world is the big problem with asking a woman to wait one day to re-think her choice to take the life of a living human being while she gets a little insight on what to expect when going through with it? REALY? You are so concerned with the rights to kill a baby that you are so against any attempt to save one! I hope in your big concern about having your choice that you are thanking God (if you believe in one) and your mother every second of every minute of every day that she CHOSE to have you! I sure do! WAKE UP!!

• All States should ban abortion after 20 weeks. Doctors receive little if any education in pain and are inured to the pain of others as evidence by them operating on infants without anesthesia and subjecting infants in the icu to painful procedures without analgesia. Their heartless "gnostic denial of the human" must be outlawed as they cannot be trusted to act in a decent human manner. The prohibition against cruel and degrading must be applied to all our citizens including citizens in the womb-failing that we are barbaric and pain and suffering will continue

• Must be an election year.

• Did Rob Mayer's mother have free and unfettered access to abortion services? Obviously not.
