• ass clown of the week, the month, the year, the decade, and 20th, 21th and 13th centuries. Instead of giving him much earned awards like ass clown of the week, a judge should be giving him what he really has earned prison time.   

• Correct me if I am wrong, but members of the "Tea Party" did publically identify themselves as "teabaggers" last year without the prompting of the media and were proud of that term. That was before some found out the slang meaning of teabagger (as the aging hippies laughed, especially those not so politically correct). Teabaggers picked the term and let them live with that. As an aging hippie, seems just to me and a source of endless amusement.

• Congratulations to Sharp for this award from the RFT. You're in good company here. Sharp, we know who you are, we know what you do. Thank you for your excellent work all year as one of the main videographers for the St. Louis Tea Party. Oh, you "taunted" Fox 2 reporter Charles Jaco? Boo freakin' hoo.

• Doug, I'm surprised that a legal expert such as yourself didn't notice that the charge was actually "disturbing the peace," and not assault. And while you're here, could you please explain the difference again between birthers and other people who claim that Obama's secretly not a citizen for other reasons: http://starboard.blogtownhall.com/2010/01/05/glenn_beck_vs_the_birthers__a_lesson_for_both_sides.thtml . I keep getting confused and find myself wanting to call them all birthers.

• Did Adam Sharp ever call Jaco and ask him quit using the term tea bagger? You only confront people in public with a microphone and camera after all else has failed.

• Adam Sharp simply called Jaco on his disingenuous disparagement of the Tea Party movement. Fako Jaco (I smell rocket fumes!) got all bent out of shape and then shoved him. Sorry, libtards... that IS assault and Adam didn't let it slide. If he did, that would simply mean that if you don't like the questions being asked of you, you can physically intimidate people with impunity! Adam did what needed to be done. And frankly, I hope KTVI and KTRS decide Jaco is more trouble than he's worth. It won't be the first time he's caused embarassment to his employers! Good job Adam! Wear that Ass-Clown badge proudly! As Winston Churchill once said - "You have enemies? Good! That means you've stood up for something sometime in your life."

• James - are you serious? The tea party crowd has more veterans than a veteran's day parade. I spent two years in Iraq, most of that time with 10th Mountain. I have no problem with people disagreeing with my point of view, but why call us undeserved names? I can assure I'm far from a delusional coward. Maybe you should try getting to know some tea party people and actually try to find out who they are.

• James, It is a shame your drill sergeant didn't teach you the value of the U.S. Constitution. I especially learned to appreciate its value during my Army training with my armor unit at Fort Knox, KY. As for Hennessy, I know he also served. I don't recall what branch but I bet he'd tell you if you had the courage to ask. All the people I have ever crossed paths with who have served share it with pride. Congratulations & thank-you for your service...seriously. What confuses me is how you consider what I said about Jaco hate. I never said I wish him ill will, I just said I found him odd & disturbing & his research skills questionable. It is a simple question he could answer. Oh! that's right, he's not into answering tough questions. He shoves people and then scurries away. Besides, I am sure you saw more hate in Desert Storm than the few words I used, so I don't understand why you'd defend someone like him. Care to elaborate??

• If you need any more evidence that the teabaggers and their symphatizers are delusional and dangeroius, just look at the bizarre hate-filled comments here re: Jaco. And as to the Teabag cowards like Sharp and this Hennessey guy--there's no compromise with these fools. So they have to be exposed for the wingnuts they are. BTW--I was with the 82nd in Desert Storm. Any of you Teabaggers ever serve? or are you like Cheney and the rest of the rightwing simps? Lots of hot air, and nothing to back it up.

• Mark, I think you meant that Jaco is a "miscreant" but it came out "mistreat". You are right, with heros like Jaco, no wonder these aging hippies are so incensed. They miss the good old days when their heroes were the Kennedy family. Oops, no more Kennedys to worship either. I guess that leaves Jaco and Obama.

• You have conflated Ass Clowns and Ass Hats in your short article. (See paragraph #1 for "Ass Clown" and paragraph #2 for "ass hat.") I am personally neither an Ass Clown nor an Ass Hat, but think you should endeavor to keep your facts straight. By the way, I voted for Barack Obama.

• Seems the whiner brigade has spoken, their new hero is poor mistreat Jaco, CNN flunkie. Seems kind of odd and disturbing that asking someone to describe in detail what "teabagging" is when national people in his own industry have been called out on it. Either Jaco lacks the skills to do proper research or he has a sick fantasy for Adam Sharp, and Adam is the one who has the problem? Way to pick your heroes. • I will use my full name. Adam is a child who has found a way to garner attention to himself. So whatever is necessary he will do it from disrupting a funeral or trying to pick a fight with a journalist. I voted for Adam but I am not sure I should of. As Adams parents learned long ago Adam wants any kind of attention and this negative attention will suffice. So we have done it and next week RFT will have to publish Adam's rant and he will show it to friends and feature it on his blog as proof that he is important because so many are "after him." It is so sad. Good parenting and psychological counseling could have created a well balanced adult.

• I'm sure Adam will find being voted "Ass Clown of the Week" by the RFT Readers to be a badge of honour! Congratulations Adam!

• Sometimes answering one question just leads to other, more difficult questions. For example, now that we know that Sharp is the clearest example of an ass-clown since the invention of voting, this immediately leads me to wonder if there has been a single week in the last 6 months where Sharp did not deserve to be Ass Clown of the Week?
