A couple of weeks ago, Style Council, a blog of
Riverfront Times' sister paper
LA Weekly, discovered a wonderful new fashion trend:
costumes for guinea pigs. Today, Daily RFT will attempt to one-up them St. Louis style with the
Dog Stache.
Are any further words really necessary?
Fine.
This work of genius is manufactured by Muttropolis, a pet supply company in Solanas, Caifornia. Its official name is the
Humunga Stache Durable Dog Toy. It costs $15. It is 6.5 inches long, so it would look really, really funny on a chihuahua. The stache part is attached to a rubber ball, like so:

It's recommended by Chris of Carlsbad, California, the lone commenter on Muttropolis's web site (what the hell is
wrong with people?) that you treat it like a ball so dogs will learn that they are supposed to hold in their mouths. Writes Chris: "Even funnier when they come running to you with it in their mouths!" Chris gave it a rating of five paws, the site's highest.
What further endorsement do you need?
