| Magic Johnson and Korie Lucious celebrate another Michigan State Final Four |
We were stationed directly behind the Tennessee bench for both the Sweet Sixteen and the Elite Eight.
Lessons learned from this vantage point:
- Bruce Pearl sweats and swears profusely and turns purple when he gets really upset.
- Wayne Chism's headband defies the laws of physics. Also, he doesn't really pay attention during timeouts but still manages to score with ease.
- Magic Johnson is a far bigger deal than any current Michigan State player -- even when those players just took the program to the Final Four.
- It looks like a whole lot of fun to cut down the nets on the way to the Final Four.
A few photos, videos and observations after the jump...
Pearl's players were mostly unfazed by their coach's rants and raves. Star Wayne Chism, especially, would ignore Pearl and drift off into his own world:
Enough about the losing team. How about them Spartans? Six Final Fours in twelve years is incredible work by Tom Izzo.

And yet the fans chanted Lucas' name during the trophy presentation and his teammates hoisted him up and let him cut the last string off the net.
