State Rep. Cynthia Davis Wants Guns in Churches

• I really want to link to a picture of "Shotgun Republican Jesus", but the RFTs comment system won't allow it. You may as well google it anyway. Meanwhile, someone needs to check Davis' Christan Bookstore for radon. Aparently, Davis hasn't a clue about what happens when people bring guns to church. Perhaps she should go ask George Tiller the abortion doctor who was murdered while at church in Kansas. ("Oh but he had it coming.") What about the pastor who was shot by a crazed gunman in Maryville, Illinois? ("An American Patriot persecuted for exercising his Second Ammendment rights and hist First Ammendment rights. For a person declared mentally insane, he was a good multitasker.") What about the two people who were killed at a church in Knoxville, TN a couple of years ago by an unemployed truck driver over the deranged believe that Democrats (or in this specific case Barack Obama) wanted to take away his guns and that he would do whatever it took to "cling to his guns". ("Obama plans on doing it. He's fixing something up.") What about shot the pastor and two members of First Congregational Church's Micronesian congregation in Neosho, MO who were killed by a disgruntled man? ("Missouri has enough immigrants. He was helping control the immigrant problem in this country.") Sure, Cynthia Davis may not have said those things in the parenthesis. But when you encourage legislation that makes it permissible for people, regardless of their intentions, to bring weapons into a place of worship--A PLACE OF PEACE--you may as well say them with a straight face that the justification of shooting people in a place of worship is God's will. And if it is the will of God for people to be shot in a House of God then what is the point of believing in a religion that allows these awful things to happen. "Thou Shall Not Kill" means nothing to a person like Cynthia Davis just like anything else that is Christian like feeding the poor and providing comfort for children.

• I am not a fan of hers!!! I wrote her an email about how infertility health coverage in MO is horrible compared to IL and asked what can be done about it....I got a letter back about how abortion is horrible. I was NOT amused...I was undergoing infertility treatments at that time....I DID NOT NOR WILL NOT VOTE for her ever! This is just one more reason!!! I wonder how priests, the Pope, ministers, and any one involved in churches, synagogues and masques feels! I guess it would be easy for Nuns to conceal guns under their habits! Cynthia....you are NOT listening to your constituents!!! And you are NOT speaking for them!!! Elected officials need to remember that they are employed by us, the people!!!
