Mustache Institute Demands Tax Break for Lip Hair
In an eleventh-hour move, the St. Louis-based American Mustache Institute today (Tax Day Eve) rolled out an initiative calling on the federal government to allow deductions for mustache wearers.
The group is asking for a $250 tax break, which is what it says mustached men (and women), must spend each year grooming their lip hair. AMI maintains that the deduction will help mustached Americans -- already higher earners than their naked-lipped brethren -- make even more money that will translate to more taxable income.
