Please lets put ourselves even further in the whole, watch good people lose morale, and watch you take over our so called freedom. What is the point in having an entertainment complex if man or women can go pk someone up for a few drinks possibly mickey them and exchange diseases. Guess what, would be less likely if there was a safe guarded well ran club where sex does not sale { never had in most clubs }and entertainment/vocal company was given. You have no right steppin in and playing god you hiprocritical piece of shit. • I'm a Christian but these types of Christians make me look bad. They hyper focus on the wrong end of morality. I may be a Christian but I'm not a crazy obsessed with regulating other people Christian. The best thing you can do is live your life as Christ would want and honor Him and others will see His love and grace through your actions. Trying to force others to follow your idea of morality will get you no where except tick everyone off because they think you think you are better than them and know better than them. That's not love from God that's arrogance. A smart and caring Christian would leave this alone and let people able to go to sexually oriented businesses where the workers are protected by local police if they are attacked or assaulted. Now that these will essentially be put out of business there will be a huge black market for strip clubs and prositution. Likely sex trafficing will increase and forced prositution possibly of children because they aren't a legal business being monitored by the BBB or local government. Worst of all if any of the girls are hurt in any way they won't be able to press charges or call cops because they are working in a black market industry. Talk about forcing women into a worse situation than they are already in. When you make something "bad" and hard to get, people want it more not less. If you keep it legal and not a big deal, people are less likely to be driven to want it constantly. YES this applies to Adult Bookstores. A bill almost exactly like this one was passed in Ohio a few years back and within a year or so 90% of adult oriented businesses were out of business. Currrently $30 Million in Tax Revenues are generated from these businesses for Missouri specifically. Our budget isn't hurting enough already that Republicans want us to cut it even more so we have no funding for anything anymore???

• If Republicans lived like the Christians they claim to be, then they could lead by example and not legislate Christianity. It will only be a matter of time before someone who voted for this bill is either at an "illegal" strip club or is caught at one out-of-state.

• Everybody knows that these so called ultra-morale a**holes, will make bills outlawing acts like lap dancing. Yet before long they always turn up in the news with two gay guys and a phallus up there a**. There are places that serve alcohol, there are beer and wine stores. I don't drink, but I don't want to shut them down for others that do. If people don't want to go in strip clubs- then walk on by. Catholic priests are raping children - I don't see him closing any churches. Thats far worse than a lap dance. So- maybe if the stripper read from the bible to you as she gave a lap dance - yeah, that's the ticket. Can you outlaw "naked bible study" ????

• I agree with KT, they are just going to hurt an already hurting economy. How many women is that going to be make unemployed, and more so living off the goverment. Its already so hard to find a job right now... let alone, having thosands of women, without jobs if this bill goes all the way through. I was working (dancing) when the bill that doesnt let alcohol in strip clubs with nude girls, and just that alone had hurt the clubs money and the womens money. • seriously, while attending Mizzoui in Columbia for undergrad and grad school, i knew of at least 200 girls that danced to make extra bucks over those six years. that money went to their tuition, living expenses and for more than some to booze and cocaine which is ok because we need those things too. all work and no play... and damn if those same girls worked hard for their money slutting it up. more than a few had kids. anyways, what the fuck do you expect from any christian. these people believe there is an omnipotent presence which created life in the universe in an instant, around 6000 years ago. of course they are crazy. so now, in teh STL area, what strip clubs are we really losing? • Hey Chad - You're all over the strip clubs aspects of this bill, but how will it affect the operation of adult bookstores? I read the bill and from what I can gather it seems like it will cover them as well. Can you shed some light on this? Also the 4 provisions of the bill are weak and do not matter as much as the provision on where they can be located. That is the bigger story of the bill. Is there a grandfather clause in the bill so pre-existing businesses will not have to relocate? There is a much bigger article here, but you seem to just want to talk about strippers. How about you talk about what a bullshit big government move this is. How about you talk about a in a struggling economy these blowhards are focused on hurting it more.
