Dennis Powell: Hannibal Man Sentenced for Drugs Busted Trying to Bring Pot to Prison

Powell, 19, was being processed at the Marion County Jail in Palmyra, Missouri, this month on a previous drug charge when authorities say they discovered marijuana on the newly committed prisoner. Powell now faces an additional drug charge of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
His court date on that charge has been set for June 8.
Court records show Powell has been charged with marijuana possession on multiple occasions and arrested once for possession of pseudoephedrine, the key ingredient for making meth.
