A Missouri girl doodles and the whole world sees it!
If you're reading this today (May 27, 2010), go to Google.com. See the purty design? A Missouri third grader did that.

Nine-year-old Makenzie Melton of El Dorado Springs beat out 33,000 kids to win this little contest called "Doodle 4 Google." Here are some other winner's perks, according to the contest's site:
"She received a $15,000 college scholarship, a netbook computer and a $25,000 technology grant for a new computer lab at her school...This year, a group of "Expert Jurors", well-known illustrators, cartoonists and animators from organizations like Disney, The Sesame Street Workshop, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates and Peanuts and Pixar Animation Studios helped select the 40 finalist doodles and attended the final awards ceremony to personally meet our winners."
