Jay Nixon: Ass Clown of the Week

Daily RFT readers this weekend overwhelmingly elected Nixon as their "Ass Clown of the Week." Nixon earned a whopping 53 percent of the vote -- beating his nearest challenger by a 30 percentage points.
The governor earned a nomination for two of his back-room dealings last week: 1) conspiring to overthrow the power structure of the St. Louis Police Board, and 2) scuttling the Tour of Missouri as part of political grudge match with Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder.
Others Ass Clown nominees earning votes included:
- Danny O'Guin -- A Baptist minister accused of ripping off his congregation earned 23 percent of the vote.
- Jonathan Katz -- A homophobe Wash U. professor won 20 percent of the vote.
- Lewis Greenberg -- A Ballwin "artist" whose masterpiece earned him a jail sentence got a scant 2 percent of the vote.
