Jeff Suppan, the Cardinals' 2006 NLCS MVP, was released yesterday by the Milwaukee Brewers, the club that signed him to a four-year $42 million contract after the Cards' World Series run.

Here's an indication of how much "Soup" will be missed by the Brew Crew faithful:
With Aaron Miles already back in the fold, it's only a matter of time before La Russa picks up Suppan and signs Scott Spiezio from the Newark Bears, no?
