Artgasm: This Weekend's Art Openings, June 11 - 14, 2010

Want to feel better about your current relationship status? Whether you're steadfastly single or smugly settled, you can visit the Museum of Broken Relationships and just be glad you aren't one of the anonymous donors who had to get rid of their ex's crap. The exhibit is just one of this weekend's art openings and events. Check out the full list below.

19th Century Ladies Craft Exhibit: Featuring exhibits and demonstrations of both common and strange crafts from the Victorian Era such as silhouette cutting, crochet, tatting, spinning, theorem painting, taxidermy, and hair-work. Museum of Broken Relationships: This traveling museum displays the many mementos from relationships long gone, all donated by the anonymous broken-hearted: There are the gifts he gave you, the day-to-day necessities she left behind and even those oddball items that just remind you of what you'd rather not remember. Brandon Anschultz: Stick Around for Joy: A site-specific installation created expressly for the estate house that now serves as Laumeier Sculpture Park's indoor galleries. Central West End Art Fair & Taste: Combination outdoor art festival and food celebration features artist booths and restaurants preparing their finest samples while bands play and short films screen courtesy of Cinema St. Louis.
