Kroenke Could Get Approval to Own Rams by Start of NFL Season

​The Post-Dispatch is reporting that NFL owners could give approval at their August 25 league meeting for Stan Kroenke to purchase the remaining 60 percent of the St. Louis Rams.

Kroenke emerged as the leading bidder for the franchise this spring after Illinois business tycoon Shahid Khan attempted to purchase the team.

Kroenke is currently working a deal to pass ownership of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche to family members so that he satisfies NFL rules prohibiting cross ownership among professional sport leagues. 

The Rams start the 2010 season September 12 at home against the Arizona Cardinals.
