It sounds like one of those ethical-dilemma problems that psychologists give you in order to determine some crucial truth about your personality:

On Tuesday afternoon, a man walked into the Goldsmith Pharmacy in Town and Country armed with a .22 caliber rifle and demanded morphine.

When the pharmacist told him the store didn't stock morphine, the man pointed his rifle at her and said he knew they kept it in a safe.

After he received his 22 tablets of morphine, the man apologized profusely to everyone in the pharmacy. He was only doing this for a sick friend, he said

Nonetheless, police are out looking for him and will probably arrest him when they find him.

Now the important psychological question: If you were in the man's place, what would you have done?
