If you caught the opening of last night's All-Star Game, then you learned about St. Louisan Eric Greitens and his Mission Continues, a non-profit that empowers and aids wounded veterans returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Greitens was a winner of this year's People Magazine All-Stars Among Us, honoring the nation's greatest volunteers. Prior to last night's game actor Matthew McConaughey introduced a short video on Greitens and his work with veterans.

In 2008, Greitens was the subject of a Riverfront Times feature, "Captain America."
