The lone deadly encounter occurred early Saturday morning on the 5100 block of Highland Avenue. Eunice Hampton, 46, was found dead with multiple stab wounds to her chest.

The following morning (12:35 a.m. on Sunday) an 18-year-old was attacked by a gang of gunmen about four blocks away from the scene of the stabbing on the 5100 block of Terry Avenue in the Kingshighway West neighborhood. He told police that he was sitting in the driver's seat of his buddy's car when a five or six men walked up and opened fire. He took several bullets, but the Post-Dispatch reports that as of yesterday afternoon, he was in stable condition in a local hospital.

Also on Sunday morning, at around 1:30 a.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in the back just three blocks north of the City Museum on the 1000 Block of Selby Place. The man told the cops he was chatting with a friend when attackers in a gray 2000 Chevy Cobalt rolled by and started shooting. He is also reported to be in stable condition.

Finally, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, a 41-year-old man was shot in the leg and chest on the 4100 block of Green Lea Place, a few blocks northwest of Fairground Park. He was standing in the street when a man in a gray Chevy Malibu cruised past and unleashed several rounds. He is also reported to be in stable condition.
