Confidential: Jason Brown's Butt Makes Sam Bradford Quiver
|Wait, how did Sam Bradford hurt his arm again?|
The column is the work of several ESPN writers on a tour of the training camps of every team in the NFL. The Rams' time in Earth City was chronicled by Mike Sando, a former beat writer for the Tacoma News Tribune who spent nine seasons covering the Seattle Seahawks.
Sando praises the work ethic of OJ Atogwe, wonders why the Rams don't have a proven back-up for Steven Jackson and questions whether the defense will be able to defend the pass.
But mostly he's concerned with the fact that the franchise's highly touted rookie got a little nervous the first time he hunkered down as a professional and stuck his hands under the ass of a 300-pound man.

But be warned -- the Bradford-Brown exchange isn't the only talk of the Rams getting their asses handed to them -- ESPN ranks the team dead last in their preseason power rankings poll.
Alas, the week before St. Louis Rams training camp was tough on quarterback Sam Bradford's nerves.
The No. 1 overall draft choice could not be sure when his agent and the team would reach a contract agreement, and by the time Bradford finally arrived, the other quarterbacks had a couple days' head start on him. All eyes were on the franchise savior from Oklahoma when Bradford lowered himself under center for the first time during camp.
Bradford might have appeared cool and in command from afar, but one veteran teammate had a better, uh, feel for the situation.
"You couldn't see it on his face, but I knew he was nervous because when he got under center and put his hand underneath my rear end, his hand was shaking -- it was quivering," Brown said. "And of course, I didn't say anything, but it's a very awkward feeling for me as well when someone has their hand shaking underneath your rear end."
