Man Arrested in East St. Louis Trafficking 143 Pounds of Cocaine

Hilario Medina of Houston has been charged with trafficking cocaine after being caught with 65 kilos (143 lbs.) of the drug in route to Chicago.

The Associated Press reports that Medina, 45, was pulled over in Madison County Thursday night with police finding the drugs hidden away in the cab of his truck.

Medina says he didn't know what he was transporting, but was paid $6,000 to haul the cargo to Chicago.
