Missouri's Sales Tax Holiday Begins Today; Don't Pay Tax on Clothes, Computers
| 'Cause really, this is what the Tea Party was all about. |
That's right, this weekend is Missouri's sales tax holiday for "school" goods, such as clothes, shoes and computers. But here's the good thing for most of us: you don't actually have to be in school to get the discount. That means if you've been eying that new Macbook at the Apple store, well, this weekend could be the time to pull the trigger.
Note: Not every municipality is participating in the holiday. If you buy school supplies in one of these cities, you'll have to pay local tax but not state sales tax of 4.225 percent.
