RFT Parent Company Responds to Child-Prostitution Lawsuit Against Backpage.com

• I would just like to say that I know latasha personally and I know the girl they are talking about. The 13 yr old lied to everybody about her age and was prostituting before we met her. We where under the impression that she turned 20 november 19th of 2009. She does not in any way look like she is 13. Latasha never forced her to do anything. Latasha is a beautiful person inside and out and a great mother. She was just trying to help the girl, not know she was the age she was. If we knew she was only 13 this would not be going on now. The girl is still out there doing the same thing. so my question is, what is wrong with her mother? Y is her mother not taking care of her child and providing better super vision for the girl? The whole time she was a supposed runaway the girl was talking to her mother and going to see her. It wasnt a problem what her duaghter was doing until she was seen on bp.com. There where many people who where involved with the girl who didnt know she was only 13, so why is tasha, the one that was trying to help the girl getting all the blame? The mother should have been and should be watching her child better.

With meth, you have a drug that cannot be made without the addition of psuedoephedrine. My argument was not to tell drug companies that they can't make psuedophedrine. Rather I suggest that -- like in Oregon -- Missouri should consider making it a prescription-only drug. Oregon saw the number of meth busts in that state decline dramatically after they instituted such a law. One would expect similar results should Missouri, which perennially leads the nation in meth-seizures, do the same. By comparison, stopping craigslist or backpage or any other site from running online ads for sex isn't going to stop people from finding such activities for sale on the Internet. No amount of censorship is going to do that.
