What the hell do we do with THIS?
Last week, law enforcers in western Missouri area sniffed out a huge trove of hot merch: about four tractor trailers worth of car batteries, lampshades, pillows and, yes, $58,000 in assorted Halloween candy.

Candy? you ask. Is there a black market for that?

Not necessarily.

"A lot of times these [tractor trailer] thieves are getting the trailers not knowing what the load is," says Lieutenant David Millsap of the Springfield Police Department, adding to Daily RFT: "It's a huge industry problem, it's exploded over the last couple of years."

Indeed: the The Wall Street Journal just reported in February that the number of trailers stolen nationally has increased by about a hundred every year for the last few years.

See the original story on the Kansas City-area seizure in the Springfield News-Leader.
