Okay, Who Inserted the Word "Blow" in the Sign Reading: "Ed Martin 4 Jobs"?

Right-wing blogger Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit was first to report the news yesterday with the headline: Awful Liberals Turn Classy Ed Martin Sign Into Vulgar Sexual Display.
Yep, it seems someone has defaced a campaign sign for Martin along Interstate 55. Here's the before picture of that sign.

This morning, Daily RFT asked the Martin campaign if they knew who defaced the sign and whether or not the altered message truly reflects the candidate's position on fellatio.
Martin's press secretary, Theresa Petry, responds:
"Ed Martin's top priority is jobs and no silly stunts or otherwise will distract him from his focus. His opposition is bent on making a mockery and game out of this election but there are serious issues at hand and Ed Martin is addressing them with the people."
